Reporting to and working in close partnership with the Store Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring our Royal Exchange store continues to deliver the world‑class service synonymous with Fortnum & Mason. You’ll inspire high performance, elevate service standards, and ensure that every customer leaves with a memorable, luxury experience.

What You'll be Doing:

As Deputy Store Manager, you will play a vital role in both the day‑to‑day running and long‑term success of the store. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Championing exceptional customer service and ensuring our service standards are consistently exceeded.
  • Leading, motivating and developing a talented sales team, cultivating a culture of growth, engagement and excellence.
  • Overseeing store operations, ensuring impeccable presentation, stock accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Analysing and reporting on KPIs and trade performance, communicating insights to the executive team and wider business.
  • Building strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive commercial and cultural success.

What We Are Looking For:

We’re looking for a strong and inspiring leader who thrives in a luxury or premium retail environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience managing and developing a high‑performing, diverse retail team
  • Confidence with HR processes and recruitment within a retail setting
  • The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong IT, analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret financial and business data
  • Full flexibility to work a range of shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
