About the Role
We’re looking for a Treasury Accounting Manager to join our Finance team and take ownership of cash, banking, and working capital processes across our multi-channel business. Reporting to Financial Controller, this is a high-impact role for someone who combines strong technical treasury and accounting expertise with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
You will oversee the integrity of our cash reporting, drive improvements in controls and forecasting, and act as a key partner to commercial, operational, and international teams. You'll also play a hands-on leadership role, supporting system optimisation and mentoring junior staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Treasury Accountant ready to step into a broader management role, or for a Treasury professional looking to expand their influence across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of cash and bank account management, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations, resolution of reconciling items, and alignment with financial reporting standards.
- Own cash flow forecasting process, delivering accurate, timely weekly forecasts, identifying risk and opportunity, and working with stakeholders to optimise working capital.
- Manage multi-channel sales reconciliation across retail, hospitality, and online, ensuring cash and card takings are correctly recorded and discrepancies promptly investigated and addressed.
- Control and reconcile credit card processing fees, chargebacks, and settlements, ensuring all postings are accurate and reported in line with monthly close timetables.
- Maintain and continuously improve treasury and AR processes, including reporting automation, aged debtor review, and allocations of incoming receipts.
- Act as business partner to operational and commercial teams (e.g. customer service, Concierge, wholesale, Hong Kong office), providing guidance and training on finance processes and supporting peak demand.
- Manage treasury-related month-end and year-end close activities, including journal preparation, account analysis, and audit support.
- Mentor and supervise the Assistant Treasury Accountant, Accounts Receivable Coordinator, ensuring high-quality work, developing capability, and supporting their growth within the team.
- Drive finance system improvements, including supporting D365 testing, implementation of automation tools, and refinement of reconciliation workflows.
- Support compliance and internal control reviews, ensuring treasury activities meet audit and regulatory standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong treasury or financial accounting background, ideally within a multi-entity or multi-currency environment.
- Experience in cash flow forecasting, bank reconciliations, and financial systems (D365 experience highly beneficial).
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data across multiple sources/platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to zoom out and see commercial implications.
- Strong communicator and team player, comfortable working cross-functionally and across regions.
- Proactive mindset — someone who owns their area and continuously looks for ways to improve efficiency and control.
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is a plus.
In return, we offer:
- A competitive salary
- A generous store and restaurant discount of up to 40%
- 25 days holidays (excluded bank holidays) and an extra day off for your birthday
- A fantastic subsidised staff restaurant which uses Fortnum’s ingredients
- A range of opportunities to develop and grow personally and professionally
- Excellent pension scheme
