Senior Project Manager – Portfolio
Job description
Our Head Office department is in the heart of Piccadilly and occupies the 5th & 6th floor of our beautiful flagship store. This central London location offers so much to explore including restaurants, bars, cultural sites, shopping and more, and only a short walk from the Green Park Tube Station and plenty of bus stops.
This role leads the delivery of Fortnum’s non‑flagship retail portfolio, supporting the wider store transformation programme and global brand growth. It oversees UK satellite stores, concessions, wholesale shop‑in‑shops, travel retail, international formats, and pop‑ups. The focus is on delivering high‑impact projects at pace while safeguarding brand standards, customer experience, and commercial outcomes. The role bridges strategic direction and execution, ensuring all projects land consistently and to quality.
Key Accountabilities
Portfolio Oversight
- Oversees delivery of all non‑flagship formats, balancing speed‑to‑market, cost efficiency, and brand consistency.
- Monitors performance, risks, and opportunities, providing clear reporting to senior stakeholders.
Project Management & Delivery
- Manages end‑to‑end project lifecycles from concept to handover, maintaining strong critical paths and RAID management.
- Ensures all projects meet scope, timing, budget, and quality standards, and supports smooth transition into BAU teams.
Process & Governance
- Drives consistent processes, reporting, and tools across the portfolio.
- Ensures compliance with health, safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Champions continuous improvement and scalable ways of working.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Owns portfolio budgets with accurate forecasting and benefits tracking.
- Applies commercial judgement across value engineering, supplier negotiation, and cost efficiency.
Stakeholder & Change Management
- Acts as a central point of contact across internal and external stakeholders.
- Builds engagement plans, RACIs, and adoption and readiness plans in partnership with Change and Communications teams.
- Confidently manages senior stakeholders and international partners.
Supplier Management
- Develops strong relationships with consultants and suppliers across markets, ensuring quality, consistency, and accountability.

- Experience managing diverse retail formats across markets; strong project management methodology knowledge; desirable formal qualifications (Prince2, PMP, RICS, Agile
- Strong financial and supplier management experience; experience leading cross‑functional and third‑party teams.
