Located in the heart of Piccadilly in our beautiful flagship store. This central London location, offers so much to explore including restaurants, bars, cultural sites, shopping and more, and only a short walk from the Green Park Tube Station and plenty of bus stops.
Restaurant Manager – Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon
Epitomising the sophistication of Afternoon and High Tea in all its splendour, our Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon serves an extraordinary selection of teas, our famous fluffy scones and delicious sandwiches 7 days a week for all those special occasions. The Queen opened the Tea Salon in 2012 in honour of her Diamond Jubilee. The Tea Salon also specialises in private dining hosting an array of events from charity balls to private birthday parties.
We are currently looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager responsible for driving an exceptional team and restaurant on a daily basis delivering a faultless service to our customers.
Key Accountabilities:
Work in partnership with the General Manager to ensure the restaurant meets and exceeds F&M standards and targets
Coach and develop the Assistant Managers/Head waiters/ess and teams to ensure efficiency, leading by example
Update the management team on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
Tour the restaurant regularly
Communicate and work with the General manager to own the restaurant highlights, lowlights, opportunities and risks for the period
Complete and deliver monthly one to one reviews in line with Company Objectives, Vision and Values, using this time to set and review individual objectives
Communicate effectively, in a way that the teams are empowered and involved in all appropriate developments across the business
Demonstrate high levels of planning, organising, and time management to drive the operational execution across the department
Support the team to ensure the restaurant rota is managed in a fair, consistent and efficient manner managing all holidays in line with the Company policies
We expect the successful candidate to have the following skills and experience:
Experience as a Restaurant Manager within Afternoon Tea
Excellent interpersonal skills for diplomatically handling staff and customers
Cooperation and teamworking skills
The ability to lead and motivate a team of staff
The ability to cope under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good business awareness for achieving successful performance
Strong written and oral communication skills for managing business administration and personnel matters
Strong planning and organisational skills to run a streamlined operation
The ability to work independently and make decisions confidently
Problem-solving ability, to resolve issues as they arise
