People Services Specialist

Job description

Fortnum & Mason are looking for a People Services Specialist to join our team in Piccadilly.

 

As a People Services Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing all first-line queries related to, learning, human resources (HR), compensation, and employee relations (ER) policies. You will be responsible for ensuring a seamless employee lifecycle experience from onboarding to offboarding, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our service delivery. Additionally, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to support the achievement of strategic objectives through effective people management practices.

 

The key responsibilities will include: 

  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle. Process starters, leavers, and changes on HR and payroll systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance. 

  • Produce HR-related documentation such as contract amendments, probation letters, and family leave confirmation letters.  

  • Manage family requests and manage the case from first notification through to return to the office. 

  • Own the employee onboarding and offboarding processes, conducting focus groups and surveys to gather insights and utilise data and feedback to drive improvements in the onboarding experience, and associated paperwork, making recommendations for improvements thinking about employee experience and technology. 

  • Conduct exit interviews and leverage insights to enhance the offboarding process.  

  • Use exit interview data to identify and address issues in the business, discussing the output with the HR Business Partners. 

  • Regular reviews of polices, ensuring we are fully compliant. Making recommendations for improvements based on feedback from employees and wider research.  

  • Creating communication or training for managers on changes where required 

  • Taking feedback for People Services continuous improvement suggestions from business users and identifying how these can be implemented 

 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: 

  • Experience of working in HR  

  • Ability to suggest process improvements and challenge the normal ways of working 

  • Digitally savvy with the ability to use technology to improve process
