Lead Project Manager

Job description

Role Purpose:

Own, lead and deliver assigned UK + International store development projects. You will be responsible for managing and controlling the project delivery on behalf of the Store Development Team

Head of Property 

 

Location:  

Piccadilly  

 

Key interfaces:

You will need to interact with internal and external stakeholders: All Business Functions, Heads of Departments and Exec 

 

Key Accountabilities

*       Work with Lead Store Development PM, Design, Programme Manager, Head of Customer Proposition to define the Store Development project process and ensure necessary governance is adhered to.

*       Work with Lead Store Development PM, Design and Head of Proposition to develop accurate project metrics and complete project health checks – ensuring project programmes and budgets are developed to achieve the project requirements and track throughout the project lifecycle.

*       Oversee the completion of due diligence for all property aspects of projects.

*       Manage stakeholder expectations, by highlighting risks and requirements against defined plans.

*       Own key relationships with 3rd party project contractors and consultants.

*       Present masterplan updates to the Head of Property and Exec Team members.

*       Manage both Internal and External resources to ensure project delivery is on track.

*       Manage the procurement strategy for all Store Development projects in-conjunction with the Lead Store Development PM.

*       Driving change, constantly seeking ways to optimise the best solutions to deliver project plans.

*       Be responsible for delivering projects that meet the overall budget margin for projects and ensure planned cost targets are met or potential risks highlighted, so we remain with budget where possible.

*       Manage assigned costing projects and the tendering process. Providing guidance on procurement, looking at areas of VE if required and assist with any site changes discussion in project delivery.

*       Where requested, ensure delivery on savings on business projects, through better sourcing and negotiations with suppliers.

*       Ensure new sites are open on time, within budget and to the quality expected.

*       Manage property related projects and ensure that there is a smooth, seamless project management process and delivery plan in place.

*       Strong knowledge of property project management principles

*       You will be a good in depth analyser with a solid results orientated attitude and an ability to delivery results within time and budget

*       You will be capable of managing project teams, setting clear targets and providing practical solutions and direction.

*       You will have a collaborative, considered and adaptable working style, with an ability to stakeholder manage and communicate at all levels

*       Tenacious, with the ability to problem solve within a fast-paced environment

*       Strong organisational & project management skills, with meticulous attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate results

*       Strong knowledge of logistics management for efficient service delivery

*       Strong resilience and an ability to adapt to changing priorities

*       Has strong commercial acumen in every decision

*       Confident communicator at all levels, with an ability to persuade and influence

*       Demonstrate an authentic and passionate understanding of the brand and brand values
