Hospitality Marketing Manager

Job description

Role Purpose:

Responsible for the development and delivery of on brand, commercially focused and effective 360 marketing & communication strategies for Fortnum’s hospitality operations.

The role is responsible for:

  • Identifying and delivering effective marketing plan & communication tactics which deliver commercial and brand objectives.
  • Working closely with Customer Insight, Brand Comms, Digital Marketing & Hospitality Operations to ensure optimal implementation of the strategic growth plans for each proposition

The ideal candidate has strong hospitality marketing experience and contacts across the hospitality industry.

 

Reports to:

Head of Marketing Operations

 

Key interfaces:  

Customer Insight, Brand Comms, Digital Marketing, Hospitality Operations & VM.

External Agencies (Seven Rooms, Creative, Print Providers) External Third Parties – Code / Golden Keys etc

 

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Define the strategic and creative direction for Fortnum & Mason’s hospitality portfolio.
  • Increase salience and desirability of Fortnum’s wide range of restaurants namely the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon, 45 Jermyn St, The Parlour, The Wine Bar, 3’6 and those at St Pancras, T5 and The Royal Exchange.
  • Deliver marketing objectives through a programme of campaigns and cohesive cross-channel activation.
  • In collaboration with Hospitality Operations, be responsible for communicating and over-seeing the end-to-end customer experience in-store for Hospitality campaigns and events.
  • Ensure all Hospitality initiatives are joined up with the rest of the business, are cohesive in approach and communicated well in advance of execution.
  • Develop the relevant go to market strategies for Hospitality propositions such as Private Dining.
  • Produce detailed evaluation of all marketing campaigns versus pre-determined KPIs, sharing with relevant colleagues and applying learnings to future activities.
  • Ensure all signage makes sense to the customer, whilst driving footfall flow to the restaurants and work to deliver efficiencies within all processes.
  • Work with Food & Drink Studio to ensure coherence with this area

We expect the successful candidate to have the following skills and experience:

 

Required skills

  • A proven Marketing & Communications professional, with demonstrable experience in planning and executing marketing activity, within Hospitality environments (essential)
  • Collaborative considered and adaptable manager, with gravitas and the ability to influence at a senior level and across disciplines.
  • Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate high impact Marketing Partnership initiatives, within a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative flair tempered with commercial acumen, numeracy, and analytical skills.
  • Strong budget, agency, and time management skills.
  • Tenacious, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational & project management skills.
  • Experience of digital marketing preferable.
  • Excellent literacy skills
  • An appreciation of the Fortnum’s Brand.
