We are now seeking a full-time Prep Chef de Partie to join our team at Heathrow Terminal 3. We are looking for a highly organised and passionate chef who takes pride in preparation, ingredient quality, and supporting the smooth operation of a busy kitchen environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Take ownership of the kitchen preparation section, ensuring all ingredients are prepared to the highest standard
  • Complete daily mise en place requirements efficiently and accurately to support service operations
  • Prepare vegetables, meats, fish, sauces, dressings, and other ingredients in line with company specifications
  • Ensure products are labelled, dated, stored, and rotated correctly in accordance with food safety standards
  • Support the wider kitchen team by ensuring all sections are fully equipped and prepared for service
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages to senior chefs
  • Assist with deliveries, stock rotation, and inventory management
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
  • Follow all HACCP, food safety, health and safety, and company procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to uphold Fortnum & Mason's exceptional culinary standards

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Prep Chef, Chef de Partie, Commis Chef, or in a similar kitchen preparation role
  • Strong knife skills and a solid understanding of ingredient preparation techniques
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A passion for high-quality ingredients and food preparation
  • Good knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and health and safety standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
  • A proactive and dependable approach with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Professional cookery qualifications are desirable but not essential
